FREDERICTON, NB, September 28, 2026. Profitual, the financial planning and analysis platform for growing businesses, today announced a strategic partnership with CharliAI. Together, the two platforms let private companies put sensitive financial and business information to work with AI while keeping control over who sees it, what the AI does with it, and the record of what happened.

In CharliAI’s words: “The intelligence comes from Profitual. The control, traceability and execution boundary come from CharliAI.”

“The combination of Profitual’s domain-specific AI and CharliAI’s governed control plane sets a new standard for what’s possible in the private markets,” CharliAI said on its partnership page.

Why it matters

Private companies already hold the information they need to understand their business, prepare for investors, and report to stakeholders. Most of it is spread across spreadsheets, accounting systems, and data rooms. Turning it into reliable analysis usually means more people and more tools handling sensitive numbers.

Profitual turns that information into financial and business analysis. CharliAI describes its role as “the governed execution layer around it,” built to determine “which AI can access what information, for what purpose, under whose authority, and what happens next.”

How it works

Company data, including financials, corporate documents, market information, and operational data, is brought into a secure working environment. Profitual’s analysis runs inside CharliAI’s control layer and produces the finished work: board reports, investor updates, and decision support.

CharliAI lists the controls it provides as policy-based access, delegated authority, protected data, human approval, workflow control, source provenance, runtime monitoring, and forensic audit. More detail is on CharliAI’s partnership page.

What companies can use it for

  • Investor readiness. Check on an ongoing basis whether the company, its financial model, and its supporting information are ready for diligence and a raise.
  • Board reporting. Turn current company information into board-ready reports, analysis, and commentary.
  • Investor updates. Produce consistent investor communications from controlled source information instead of disconnected spreadsheets.
  • Competitive analysis. Combine company context with outside market information to understand positioning and competitive moves.
  • MD&A and management reporting. Turn operating and financial results into structured analysis, with source tracing and review built into the workflow.
